HOME ALONE CANNONBALL RECREATION

We’ve always loved Home Alone, especially the iconic pool scene in Home Alone 2, where Kevin McCallister practices his cannonballs at The Plaza Hotel. Over time, it became our tradition to recreate the scene, shot-for-shot, in every pool we visit. What began as a casual bit quickly evolved into a running “super bit,” culminating in our trip to the original filming location: the Four Seasons in Chicago. (Fun fact: The Plaza doesn’t actually have a pool, movie magic!) For Billy’s 40th birthday, we flew to Chicago to complete our “white whale” recreation. Mission accomplished, but we still can’t resist doing it whenever a pool is nearby. Let us know if you’d like us to cannonball in yours!
